Serving the Community
Bridging the Gap is a partnership between New Bridge Church in Lawrenceville, Ga and King's Kids International to provide for the needs of children in Gwinnett County. We partner with DFCS to provide for the needs of families in the local community that are beyond the scope of DFCS services. We form the "bridge" between the faith community and DFCS.
Who knew mattresses were so important?
So far one of the greatest needs DFCS has shared is the need for mattresses. Since October of 2017 we have provided over 40 mattresses to families. Some were to support foster parents, some to prevent kids from entering DFCS custody, and some to allow kids to be reunited with their family from foster care.
